My brother went to Northwestern and worked at the library there for many years. Unfortunately, he passed in 1999- complications of Cancer and inattentive staff - long and painful story....but another connection we seem to have. As to Howard - I have felt since I first met you that your empathy is one of your strong points. On the day we visited you - you went out of your way to begin a conversation with me - but it was more than that...I sensed your empathy back then. You are the one to do this ....I am proud of you....Good luck in Northwestern!!!!!!
I’m so sorry about your brother, Michael. I’m sure he was a great man. We are indeed connected in many more ways and through many more stories than I ever thought we were, how special. I really appreciate you reading all my work and hopefully I will see you soon if you ever head up to CLT (or even Chicago)!
